The Consortium
Bontà
Mediterranee has been established in a region rich in history,
culture and traditions. It is a non profit Consortium for export
promotion of food, wines and non alcoholic beverages.
The locations of the Consortium’s
members, span from the hunting fields of the Emperor Frederick II
within the rolling hills of Basilicata, dotted with ancient castles and
dominated by Mount Vulture, to the Appian road passing through Venosa -
the town of the poet Horace, to the Capitanata land in Puglia Region
forever devoted to wheat production, at the footsteps of the Dauno
Appenines where Pirro defeated the Romans but lost the war.
Since their inception, these
companies have made the choice of maintaining the authenticity of their
products and respecting traditional tastes, by preserving the
simplicity of the processing even while adopting production innovations.
Experience and professionalism of
the producers create a mosaic of flavors: from the extra virgin olive
oil that holds the fragrant aroma of the fruit , to the ruby garnet
Aglianico del Vulture DOC with its delicate bouquet, to the exquisite
typical South Italian caciocavallo cheese, to the magic baked pastries
and delicacies, to the natural mineral waters that can suit every
taste, to the organic flour , legumes, tomato puree, and pasta seasoned
by the Mediterranean sun, to the pasta of spelt, the cereal that was
the main nourishment of the Roman Legions.
This is an itinerary that can bring you
pleasantly through fascinations of colors, scents and flavors created
by the companies of Bontà Mediterranee.
